Main Street’s Music Mashup – Battle of the Bands March 23 at Capitol Theatre
If you are lover of music and different genres, then this event is for you. Get ready for the Battle of the Bands. A new event presented by Main Street: Greeneville at the historic Capitol Theatre in downtown Greeneville, TN Saturday March 23rd. The music starts at 7:00pm. Doors open at 6:00pm.
Main Street: Greeneville is hosting this regional battle of bands competition where the top winning bands are invited to perform July 11th at Lyrics on the Lawn - Summer Outdoor Music Series. In addition to performing at Lyrics the winners will receive a Music Mashup monetary award along with a trophy, bragging rights, and event publicity.
The event is sponsored by Walters State Foundation, Brick House Wealth Strategies, P J’s Market, Lynn Hope Towing, Artistic Printers, Greeneville Graze and The Capitol Theatre of Greeneville.

Bands to Battle it Out
Who will be the winner and who will capture first runner up, is yet to be determined. Four bands of different genres will compete for the coveted spots. Come cheer on your favorites. Great way to spend an evening.
Madison Metcalf and Friends
Madison Metcalf and Friends have been playing together for almost 4 years. Worshiping God through music is their passion. A band made up of family members as well as church family members. They have written songs and performed at many different venues around East Tennessee including the Old Oak Festival, Iris Festival, and Lyrics on the Lawn in Greeneville, Tn. They love Jesus and are here to tell you all about Him.
Six Gun
Based out of Southwest Virginia, Six Gun is a Southern/ Blues Rock band that delivers the true spirit of legendary bands Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackberry Smoke, ZZ Top, Ted Nugent, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Tom Petty, and many more. While taking great pride in covering the songs with little to no improvisation, paying homage to the iconic bands who originally wrote, and recorded them, Six Gun is also proud of the original material that is being written, recorded, and released. In addition to performing many headlining shows, Six Gun had the honor to share the stage with members of the Rossington Collins Band, and opening for artists such as Creed Fisher, Tim Montana, and more.
Stemwinder
Take a musical journey with this new quartet across time and musical boundaries. Bluegrass to folk and then some. From Norman Blake and Tony Rice to Tom Paxton, & the Carter Family with stops along the way to visit the Eagles, the Byrds, Sam Bush, Dan Fogelberg, Richard Thompson, Michael Martin Murphy, and even the Rolling Stones.
Each of the four-band members brings their own personal influences to the mix creating an interesting and diverse listening experience. Shannon Morton, a native Elizabethtonian, holds down the guitar duties with his smooth, laid-back playing style and adds his voice to both lead and harmony vocals. Dennis Ellis, also from Elizabethton, does the Mandolin chores and sings baritone. If enough of his "fans" are in the room may be persuaded to sing a lead vocal as well! Pam Minke lives in Jonesborough and when not working with her horse “children” "Red Molly" & “Bailey” keeps the band in line with her rock solid, inventive bass playing while adding her voice to the harmony mix. Bob Minke {Pam's husband and lifelong partner in music} plays banjo, guitar and sings both lead and harmony vocals to complete the quartet.
What started out as four new friends getting together to jam occasionally has become four good friends getting together to play music for their family, friends, and fans whenever and wherever they get the chance.
Tequila Mockingbird
Tequila Mockingbird is a 7-piece mobile jukebox band from Greeneville TN, USA. The band hatched in 2019 from a collection of music & fun-loving friends, who just couldn't get enough music. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses tight sound and sweet harmonies with the songs you grew up with and sing every time you hear them. Tequila Mockingbird will make you want to dance and sing the night away. Often hailed as Kings of the Mobile Jukebox, these veterans of the music world since the 80s are still kicking the tunes. Tequila Mockingbird are currently accepting bookings and would be thrilled to be the life of your next party.
