Main Street Greeneville’s Summer Concert Series celebrates ten years with the fourth and final show of 2023 on Thursday, July 27 at 7:00 pm. The FREE concert will be held on the lawn of the Dickson-Williams Mansion in the heart of downtown Greeneville, Tennessee. The concerts take place each Thursday evening in July. This week’s concert and the third of the season will open with The Color 7 followed by headliner The Whiskey Sticks. The opening act will begin at 7 with intermission scheduled for 7:45 and the headliner taking the stage at 8. The event is scheduled rain or shine on the lawn of the mansion. Severe weather may force a cancellation so stay tuned to all forms of media for updates.


The Color 7 BIO


The Color 7 is a rock band formed in 2014 by Ron Hensley (guitar, vocals) and Chris Tarlton (drums, vocals), and featuring Kevin Wilder (bass, vocals). The band’s love of playing live music brought them together. They write and perform their own original music, as well as a wide variety of classic rock covers. Their cover tunes range from 60’s rock up to 90’s alternative. You can catch The Color 7 performing at various nightclubs, events, and private parties. The Whiskey Sticks BIO


No Gimmicks, just good music! The Whisky Sticks are a local band of musicians who exhibit a high degree of talent, energy, soul, and variety in every musical performance. A true crowd pleaser, The Whisky Sticks maintain an ever-evolving musical vocabulary ranging from Folk to heart-pounding rock-n-roll and provide full bodied musical delights from the highly energetic to the heart wrenching. The Whisky Sticks bring it to young and more seasoned listeners, alike! The Whisky Sticks lineup consists of four members, Scott Mancl, Kris Carlson, Todd Kane, and Brandon Renfro. Scott and Kris developed many of their musical skills, writing and performing with another well-known and loved local Tri-Cities band Doc Bonhomie. Scott brings to the band original material and lyrics, which permeate the human experience from love making to law breaking. Kris demonstrates why he teaches guitar lessons for a living. Kris shows off his years of practice and hard work on the guitar while also singing some high energy vocals. Todd and Brandon founded the local hard driving, blues-based rock band Stormy Monday in 1996 and rocked from Knoxville to Charlotte for over a decade. Most know Todd for his explosive capabilities on slide guitar, however Todd is also an accomplished bassist holding the band together. The musical foundation of this motley crew is none other than the exceptionally skilled and refined Brandon Renfro. Aside from being a drummer's drummer, Brandon belts out lyrics and vocal tones which one might describe as "Allmanesque". When these individuals come together prepare yourself for an open-ended, wide variety of music and good times. No gimmicks, just good music! The Whisky Sticks perform originals and covers ranging from Steve Miller Band, Stevie Wonder, The Jackson Five, Little Feat and The Allman Brothers. The goal of The Whisky Sticks is to have fun, while ensuring that their audience is provided with a wide variety of songs and an emotional listening experience that will keep them coming back again, and again!


Food Available

On-site event food vendors for this concert include Creamy Cup, Top Dog Hot Dog, Hix BBQ and Main Street Greeneville. More vendors to be added throughout the series. Food service is scheduled to start at 6:00 pm. Note: Creamy Cup, Top Dog Hot Dog, Hix BBQ and Others will locate across the street from the mansion. Main Street Greeneville will be located near the stage selling water and popcorn. Other options can be from the downtown area merchants. Cumberland Presbyterian Church plans to set-up dining tables and chairs near the food vendors for guests to enjoy.

Family Friendly


The Lyrics on the Lawn concerts are family friendly and open to all. Folks are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. You are welcome to bring a picnic supper. The event is Smoke Free with a designated area. The event is not permitted for alcohol. Please note pets are welcome, however they must remain within the designated Fido Friendly area at the top of the hill during the event.

Donations Welcome


Although the concerts are free to attend, donations are welcomed by Main Street: Greeneville, a non-profit 501c3 organization. Donations collected at the concerts help to defray series expenses. Jann Mirkov, Main Street’s Executive Director stated, “Words can’t express how thankful we are to those that donate to our program. As a non-profit, we rely on the generosity of those in our community to support our efforts to revitalize our downtown. We thank everyone for their generous donations.”


The Lyrics on the Lawn series was created by Main Street: Greeneville in co-operation with the Dickson-Williams Historical Association to showcase regional musical talent.


The Dickson-Williams Mansion is located at 108 North Irish Street, adjacent to the General Morgan Inn in the heart of historic downtown Greeneville, TN. Mansion tours leaving from the hotel lobby are offered daily at 1:00pm
