DIG Applications Now Live

Applications are now live and available online for Main Street: Greeneville’s 2025

Downtown Improvement Grant Program.   The funds are provided by the State of Tennessee, through the Department of Economic and Community Development and support improvements to commercial building facades and outdoor public spaces within the boundaries of the eighteen blocks of the Main Street: Greeneville District.  Eligible projects include Façade improvements - exterior improvements to for-profit or nonprofit commercial businesses including signage, painting (historic brick buildings which have not previously been painted should remain unpainted), awnings, lighting, windows, doors, entryways and other approved activities. At least 50% of the proposed project must be for façade improvements. Grantees must follow local historic overlay design guidelines or the grant design guidelines.  These design guidelines must be incorporated into the sub-grantee’s contracts.
