Twilight Tours at Andrew Johnson NHS

Greeneville, TN – This summer Andrew Johnson National Historic Site is proud to offer two evening programs during the month of July. On Friday, July 20th please join rangers for guided tours of the Johnson Homestead beginning at 7:00 pm. Rangers will lead visitors through the house with tours beginning every 15 minutes in the yard of the Homestead, with the last tour beginning at 8:15 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the historic home in the cooler evening, and be reacquainted with the powerful story of President Andrew Johnson and his family. The tours will cover both floors of the house, including stairs and uneven surfaces. The tours are free, no tickets are required.

On Friday, July 27th a twilight tour of Andrew Johnson National Cemetery will be offered. Come and learn about the contributions of President Andrew Johnson, the history of the national cemetery and some of the intriguing stories about the people buried there. This walking tour will begin at 7:00 pm at the lower parking lot of the national cemetery, located at 121 Monument Ave. The tour is free, no tickets required.
